nitially available as a trio of public betas, Camera Bits has now posted the final version of Photo Mechanic 4.6.8 for Mac and Windows. The latest release of the speedy pro photo browser and longtime anchor in our own workflow corrects incompatibilities introduced by Mac OS X Lion, while both Mac and Windows versions add support for RAW files captured with the Olympus E-PL2, Panasonic DMC-GF2 and DMC-GH2 and fix a handful of minor bugs.

Nik Software announces Color Efex Pro
Nik Software has announced Color Efex Pro 4, an update to the company’s retouching and creative effects plug-in for Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, and Apple Aperture on Mac or Windows.
The update adds new filters, visual presets, greater control over filter combinations, a history browser, improved performance, and more.
Color Efex Pro 4 will become available in October 2011 in a Complete Edition with 55 filters for US$199.95 and a Select Edition with 26 filters for US$99.95.
