I went today with the family to John Bauchers ( aka Moochin Photoman) exhibition Belfast and Beyond at The Waterfront Hall.

Photographic artist, John Baucher, uses the `Through the Viewfinder` technique learnt from photo sharing site flickr.com, to create a mosaic of individual photographs celebrating the diversity of Belfast`s visitors and residents.

TtV is defined as `taking a photograph of any subject `Through the Viewfinder` of one camera, using another camera.`

A smaller wall of TtV photographs sent from other artists and practictioners all around the world will also be created.

The last night of the exhibition is `TtV Takeaway Night` when visitors will literally be able to choose their favorite photographs from the 2000 plus on display and take it away – free.

Great exhibition and me and the kids spent ages seeing how many famous faces we could see.

Donegal, will take place on Saturday, July 10 - two days before brethren will walk through the Province's towns and villages. It's traditional to hold the parade on this date so that lodges in the Irish Republic are able to attend the Twelfth demonstrations in Northern Ireland. Fifty lodges from Donegal, Cavan, Leitrim and Monaghan, as well as visiting Orangemen, will descend on the seaside town, and assemble in preparation for the parade which will move off close to St. John's Parish Church at 12.30pm - slightly earlier than normal. It will make its way to the demonstration field, which is nestled on the edge of the shoreline and is surely one of the most beautiful locations for an Orange parade anywhere in the world. A religious service, set against the backdrop of the Donegal Hills and the rolling breakers of the Atlantic, will be held at 3pm. The service will be conducted by local minister Rev Brian Russell, and the special preacher will be Rev Stanley Gamble, a Grand Chaplain of the Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland. There are 44 Orange Halls in Donegal, Cavan, Monaghan and Leitrim and the Orange Order has members in nine counties in the Irish Republic." src="http://russellpritchard.files.wordpress.com/2010/07/100710-rossnowlagh-parade-0131.jpg?w=500&h=339" alt="" width="500" height="339" />

This was fun, yes i said fun, Me, Dawn and Ma Boys travelled to Enniskillen then across to Rossnowlagh in Co.Donegal which is quite literally a one horse town, but very beautiful great beach and we had a great day.

Parade was supposed to start at 12.30, started about 1.15 but that’s ok it’s a sleepy seaside village, everyone was really laid back, even the Garda were relaxed.

I took some pictures of people and a few of the parade, but the picture i was asked to get was Orangemen on the beach, Full gear Bowler Hat Sash, and umbrella if possible.

Not a problem, until just as the parade was finishing at the field, it started to rain, and i mean rain so the large groups of orangemen who were going to the beach decided to stay under cover, but luckily enough i caught a few guys on their way to the toilets, and even in the rain we had a laugh.

THE annual Twelfth parade in Rossnowlagh, Co. There are 44 Orange Halls in Donegal, Cavan, Monaghan and Leitrim and the Orange Order has members in nine counties in the Irish Republic.

I met a great person and a really good photographer Last Night, Clair McAllister ( she’s the one on the right ! )

Clair has a passion and a love for Music, Gigs, and photography that i haven’t seen for a while, to feel that enthusiasm then feeds me and i got as buzzed as she did before Slash came on stage, take a look at Clairs photos and leave her a nice comment, HERE

she’s met a few of the arrogant photographers about and i think it’s important she sees that we are not all like that !

Although to be fair, the guys she’s met with the ego are NOT Full-Time professional photographers, but just fancy themselves as better than everyone else.

Thank You Clair for a great night and good luck with everything you do.

I had a lot of e-mails when i awoke this morning, people generally wanting to know what camera, iso etc i used.

Cameras : Nikon D3

ISO : 4000

Aperture : 2.8

Shutter Speed : 250th

no flash was allowed for the first three songs with slash, which was fine unless he leaned right over the stage then he plunged into complete darkness.

We got escorted into the pit as he was walking from his dressing room to the stage, so not a lot of time to get things right but i had a blast, easily one of the best assignments i have ever shot, the guy just came straight over to the photographers, (there were 4 of us) and knew the shots we needed and wanted to get.

I hope this answers some of the questions i received this morning, and thanks for all the e-mails i get, i read them all.
